December at St. Paul’s for the children and families

Dear Families,

Firstly, I want to share with you my joy in seeing the children at church. We had 7 children at Godly Play on Sunday, learning about and preparing for Jesus’ birth, and it’s been so sweet to see the play at coffee hour.
Secondly, I have babysitters! Please stop by the nursery or catch them at coffee hour and introduce yourselves to Anna (San Rafael High School senior) and Allison (Dominican first year student).
This Sunday is the first Sunday in Advent. First Sundays of the month are usually Family Sundays (no Sunday School), but this Sunday we’re going to learn another Christmas song, review our previous songs, talk about Advent and do some coloring.
Also, beginning this Sunday, we will begin assembling the Creche. Each Sunday leading up to Christmas, the children will unwrap the precious pieces (imported from Italy and hand carved!) and place them into the manger. Church goers will exit church and notice that ‘little elves” have left a little more of Jesus’ story.

All my love this holiday season.
Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel,
Kati
