Hello –
Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Christian season of Lent. Lent is a period of forty days of spiritual preparation for Holy Week. The custom is to assume some practice to mark the season. Some give up something such as a food or alcohol. Others add something like daily scripture reading or service of the poor.
Tomorrow we have three services. Each includes the imposition of ashes in the shape of a cross with the powerful words ‘Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.’ The service times are 7:30am, Noon and 6:30pm. We will be sharing the services with the good people of Grace Marin.
