A Big Weekend

First of all, I’m pleased to announce that the debut of the Sunday afternoon experience this past weekend was a success. There were a dozen people at the 5pm Eucharist and it had a very sweet, mellow, sacred feel. We now have another option for worship in beauty of holiness. The Marin Episcopal Youth Group is off to a strong start for its fifth year. Finally, the Colloquium had fourteen of us in lively discussion about good and bad ‘fear’ in the Bible. Join us at Nativity on Sunday afternoons!

This weekend is another big one. Then things settle down a bit.

On Saturday, from 9am to noon is the Discipleship Group Workshop. Come to strengthen your Discipleship Group, get on a path to join a Discipleship Group, or just find out what these things are all about.

On Sunday, from 11:15am to 12:15pm is an all-community meeting about the Hardin Courtyard. Your Vestry has done great, deep work over the summer and we are excited to share with you what we have discovered and to receive your thoughts and reactions. Maggie, Jay, Pat, Larry, John and Steve have done particularly important work for us and have important things to share.

We continue to take strong and decisive steps toward becoming the kind of Christian community prepared to survive and thrive in our increasingly secular age.

Blessings,

Christopher
